JESUS the MESSIAH

Joh 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Joh 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Joh 4:25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
Joh 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

By His own words He is the Messiah. By Peter’s words, who said, ‘you are the Christ the Son of God’. ‘You have the Words of eternal life to whom shall we go?’ Over and over again they believed in HIM and were healed and even the demons called Jesus the Messiah. There were many witnesses to Jesus being the One who would save them. But it would be saved from their sins and from going to Hell. He gave them a better way to live and it was challenging because it went against their normal way of hating their enemies. He gave them a better law to follow- ‘Love God and love your neighbor as yourself.’

Read 4:10. One of the gifts of God is The Word of God or living water. Wouldn’t she have asked the Messiah for anything? eternal life? In Gods words is eternal life. It begins with one drink or one seed planted and watered. How many drinks of the water of life will it take to be born into eternal life, only one. Drink until you are satisfied, quench your thirst never to be thirsty again. Eat from the tree of life, only one bite should be enough to live forever. What is it that is so refreshing so satisfying that you can live without end. It was made by GOD for that purpose.
Jesus is moving in two directions here living water and who He is. First the living water. Jacobs well was earthly water and she had to draw water there every day because she got thirsty. But Jesus’s living water was spiritual and would quench the inner man with knowledge of the truth and of God. You can find the absolute truth. This is it. Jesus speaks the truth. His water does satisfy. All you have to do is take it in- read the word. Its alive it changes you, what He says about himself, that He is the way, That His death can forgive our sins and heal our relationship with GOD. It Can. If we follow Him.

Don’t be afraid of change, Jesus life is better. Don’t be afraid of Jesus as God, He doesn’t condemn you in your new life. He loves you. Search the scriptures and you will find out. I’m translating the scriptures from the Greek right now and when you see all the possible meanings of the words the picture it is trying to create is a whole lot fuller and more meaningful and colorful. Its kind of on steroids, filling in your questions and misunderstandings and becomes clearer. Its a good way to search the scripture to provide you meaning and show you more about Paul and Jesus whom we are emulating- being like.

Read John 4:14. The scriptures are life to us, they are a well of life, different things some old some new, all like spice. We get to be our own person in Christ, though united and I know how you value those things. Jesus tells the Samaritan woman that He exists in His own right. He is the great I AM- the Messiah. Thats where He is coming from and why He is believable. With all the words of knowledge He gave her- she knew. “He told me all things I ever did.” ‘I perceive you are a Prophet’. Then to have Him say He is the Messiah, she had to take it to her whole town…’Is this the CHRIST?’ It must have been a very exciting day in that town and in that womans life. So they believed and they all got saved. The harvest was ripe.

But did they keep at it and stay following Jesus without ever seeing Him again. They had all the same temptations we have and life went on and got boring again. But they did get saved and maybe it didn’t matter? Did they question having seen Him? He talked with them 2 days- was that enough? Some it was , some it wasn’t. But we have to keep at it. Keep refreshing His words in our minds, keep being faithful to it and keep hoping in heaven and being like Jesus and bringing in the harvest. Think of all the generations before us, some made it some didn’t. Jesus puts it in all our power to make it if we want it bad enough, we can do it. Please keep trying, Please make it. Please get saved. There is ever giving life in that water and with true faith and hope and joy in it, it will be our strength. We can, we must.
